How To Apply For An A.P.E Grant
- Create a community map.
- Find mapping activities at: http://www.janegoodall.org.nz/our-work/roots-shoots/rs-formula-understand/
- Use your map to identify a Roots & Shoots project for people, animals, or the environment.
- Take a look at your map and reflect on the following questions:

- What is about your community makes it a great habitat for people and animals?
- What makes it a great environmental habitat?
- Is your community meeting the basic needs of humans and animals?
- Is your community environmentally sustainable?
- What are some areas of improvement for your community?
- What would make it a better environmental habitat?
- Take a look at your map and reflect on the following questions:

- Apply for your A.P.E. grant to support your campaign!
To be eligible you must: reside in New Zealand, be a registered member of Roots & Shoots (it’s free! If you’re not already a member, join today.) Review the A.P.E. Grant Memorandum of Understanding for more details.
- JGINZ will load potential projects on their website + the public will be given the opportunity to vote + winners will be informed and grant money provided!
